Mercutio has spent the last month or so familiarizing himself with the many oddities the mansion contains. It is true that the advent of Dark has hampered him somewhat, but he has managed to find himself at least some clothing he has approved of. (Even if it took him about half an hour of staring indignantly at the closet to get him the leather jacket he is currently wearing.)

In any case: he has found a long hallway. He has also found various obstacles he might place in that hallway: chairs, tables, anything to create something interesting to move around, really. In essence, he has created a makeshift skate park for his heelies. (It is arguably better than fencing against himself, and it's a wonder he hasn't found himself a sword just yet.) If anyone should happen to hear crashes and thumps from further down the hallway, it's nothing to worry about. Just a cool teen in a dress and a leather jacket, heelie-ing his way through the mansion.

Grantaire halts in a doorway, leaning on the frame. "You know, you are indeed making an excellent entry in the nonsense books."

"I did warn thee." He skids to a stop, grinning, and leans against the wall.

[futaille]

"So you did. An excellent opening salvo."

[bymyheelies]

“Wouldst like to join? I am sure we could find you some.”

[futaille]

"Under most circumstances, I would say we probably could, but this season isn't easily lending itself to finding amusing things like that."

[bymyheelies]

"We could try." He is stubborn, his leather jacket he is currently sporting stands as a testament to that.

[futaille]

"I suppose we could, yes."

[temnota]

"Dare I ask what it is you are doing?" Aleksander stared at Mercutio, not sure whether to laugh. The noise was not doing his headache any favors but it was a welcome distraction from the unsettling wrongness of everything. "Should I be worried?"

[bymyheelies]

"Skating," Mercutio replies cheerfully. "Canst not see that?" He rolls to a stop and picks his foot up, helpfully displaying his heelies. "'Tis too cold to skate outside."

[temnota]

"Ah, is that what this is called?" Aleksander said. He bent his head to get a better view of the strange shoes. "I grant you the weather is not ideal but inside? With obstacles?"

[bymyheelies]

"Ay," he replies, very solemnly, and does a little twirl for effect, letting his skirt flare out around him. "It is more fun."

[temnota]

Though Aleksander absolutely knew better, he could not help but look Mercutio up and down, very clearly appreciating the dress and the young man in it. "Well, if it's more fun then by all means you should continue."

Mercutio is more than willing to play the flirt; if only to cause a little more chaos around this place. He gives Aleksander an appreciative look as well, smirking. “‘Tis more enjoyable with a partner,” he replies, laughingly. “As most things are. Wouldst join me?”

[vineleaves]

"Having fun?" Dionysus asks, leaning against a wall well out of the path of danger.

[bymyheelies]

Excuse you, Dionysus, he is perfectly adept at being a menace on his heelies. He comes to an abrupt halt and grins, giving him a playful curtsy. "'Tis too cold out to do this outside."

[vineleaves]

"I'm not too happy with this Mansion as a whole lately, so feel free to leave as many scratches on the floor and dents in the wall as you want."

[bymyheelies]

"I have not dented any walls." He sounds slightly offended. There are, however, a few scratches on the floor.

[vineleaves]

"A pity, I think it needs a few walls dented. In protest."

[bymyheelies]

"Do you think me so ungraceful?" He looks amused, clearly teasing.

[kadewest]

Amused, Kade crosses his arms and watches for a moment. "I see you're settling in," he says.

[bymyheelies]

Mercutio twirls into a graceful stop and gives him a laughing curtsy. "Ay, so I am."

[kadewest]

"I haven't seen shoes like that in years."

[bymyheelies]

"Hast not? I cannot find more, just now."

[kadewest]

Kade laughs. "I'm far too old and boring to wear 'em anymore," he says. "I'd be worried about breaking something. They suit you, though."

[bymyheelies]

Mercutio gives him a skeptical look. "I have arrived only lately, sir, but I do not think I have yet met a boring person in this place."
